First Pres Theater, Fort Wayne, announces Prentis Moore to direct their upcoming production of Clybourne Park.
Prentis Moore, in his directorial debut, takes on the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning play, Clybourne Park, a razor-sharp satire about the politics of race and gentrification. Two scenes, set fifty years apart, are both set in the same modest bungalow on Chicago’s northwest side. In both instances, a community showdown takes place, pitting race against real estate with this home as the battle ground.
Prentis’ love for entertainment started at the early age of four and has blossomed into the passion that many in the Fort Wayne community have grown to know and love. Having won the Anthony Awards (Leading Male Performance in a Musical) for both Donkey in Shrek, and Lonny in Rock of Ages, he was last seen in Summit City Music Theaters, Little Shop of Horrors as The Voice of Audrey 2. Prentis specializes in making memorable and award-winning characters. Clybourne Park opens Friday, May 12, at 7:30 PM at First Presbyterian Theater, Fort Wayne.
