The 2020 competition for First Presbyterian scholarships is now open. Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 are made available to qualifying members and children of members to provide financial assistance in pursuit of post-secondary education. Scholarship recipients may be of any age, as long as they are/will be full-time students taking degree-directed courses. No one can receive the scholarship more than four times. If interested, contact Michelle Adams, madams@firstpresfortwayne.org, in the Financial Office for more information and an application. Completed applications, along with a carefully edited essay, a listing of church participation and activities, and a cumulative high school or college transcript, must be received by April 1 in the Financial Office.
Additionally, thanks to the generosity of former Calvary Third United Presbyterian Church members, a few $1,000 scholarships are available. Students who are preparing to enter or continue at an accredited college/university as a full-time student who were members of any Fort Wayne Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) prior to December 1, 2019 are eligible to apply. Applications are available from the pastor of your Presbyterian Church or from Michelle Adams in the Financial Office at First Presbyterian Church, madams@firstpresfortwayne.org. Completed applications, along with a carefully
