The second exhibit of the 2022-23 FPC Gallery Series opens Friday, December 2, with a public reception from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM in the Art Gallery. Congregational reception follows on Sunday, December 4, from 12:15 PM – 1:00 PM. The exhibit features the art of K. Mark Waninger, of Jamestown, Indiana and Diana Fair, a retired Fort Wayne educator.

Mr. Waninger uses segmented woodturning to create vessels of exceptional artistry. From a block of wood made by gluing together sections of native Indiana hardwoods and sometimes exotic species, he uses a lathe to cut away excess material to reveal a vessel close to his envisioned concept.

Ms. Fair works in colored pencil, pastel, oil, and collage, expressing her inner emotions and explorations of the forces of Nature around her. She works intuitively, with her initial idea often transformed as the painting, drawing or collage progresses.

Admission to the Gallery is free of charge, and open to the public.
