The new art exhibit, Enchanted Visions, opened Friday, September 9, at the First Presbyterian Church Art Gallery and runs through November 13.
K.A. Letts, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, writes of her richly detailed and strongly narrative drawings and paintings: “My work looks both forward and back in time. I describe the present Anthropocene age by referencing myths and stories from our shared cultural history in order to imagine our trans-human future, where all of nature is touched by humans and all humans are touched by technology.”
Stan Clark, of Vallejo, California, is a fabric artist, sewing small fanciful stuffed toys and giant illuminated sculptures, all inspired by fairy tale forest vegetation and animals.
The gallery is open Tuesday – Thursday from noon until 5:00 PM, orby appointment.
