It’s summer vacation, and kids are home for meals they usually eat at school. That means more families needing help from the food banks we support—Wellspring Interfaith Social Services, East Wayne Street Center, and United Faith Presbyterian Church. Hunger Relief is an important part of First Presbyterian’s mission in our community, and your summertime generosity makes a real difference to hundreds of families. This month we will be collecting food at the 11:00 service on Sunday, July 21st. Food items may also be left at the church office during the week. Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated. Please specify your donation is for Hunger Relief.
The following items are especially needed: oatmeal packets, Instant mashed potatoes, canned soup, canned peaches or pineapple chunks in juice, canned green beans, cereal, and peanut butter.
Thank you so much for your participation in this important church ministry.
