Antony and Cleopatra are figures of immense power. And self-destructive, undeviating sensualists, whose transcendent passion ultimately outlives them. Caught between desire and duty, this May-December romance shakes the foundations of the known world. It is impossible not to be moved by the joy and sorrow which flows from this passion in a new adaptation of Shakespeare’s tragedy.
