DESCRIPTION:Sing Unto Him a New Song is an inspiring afternoon of music celebrating the beauty and power of the pipe organ and the human voice. \nThis Music Series showcase recital features acclaimed international organists David C. Jonies (Chicago)\, Peter Van de Velde (Belgium)\, and Jan Bokszczanin (Poland)\, joined by Ukrainian mezzo-soprano Anastasiia Staroselska. Together\, these distinguished artists will present a program of organ masterworks and beloved vocal repertoire\, highlighting centuries of musical tradition and artistry. \nWhether you’re a devoted lover of organ music or simply looking to experience exceptional live performance in a beautiful setting\, this concert promises an inspiring musical journey. Admission is free\, and all are welcome. \nFeatured Artists: \nDavid C. Jonies is Director of Music and Organist at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago and has previously served at Westminster Cathedral and the Chapel Royal at Hampton Court Palace in England. An award-winning performer\, he has appeared at numerous national conventions and international festivals. \nPeter Van de Velde is Music Director and Titular Organist of Antwerp Cathedral in Belgium. An internationally acclaimed concert artist\, he performs throughout Europe\, North America\, and Asia and is recognized as one of Belgium’s leading organists. \nJan Bokszczanin is Professor of Organ at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw\, Poland. He has performed more than 1\,000 concerts across Europe\, Asia\, and the United States\, including appearances at many of the world’s most prestigious cathedrals and concert halls. \nAnastasiia Staroselska is a Ukrainian mezzo-soprano whose performances have earned recognition in opera houses\, philharmonic halls\, and international competitions. Her repertoire spans opera\, sacred music\, and works by Ukrainian composers.
