Intergenerational “Art” Project
February 22 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
This Lent, we’re adorning the Chapel and Sanctuary with elements of the wilderness. Instead of running away from the wilderness, we’re bringing the wilderness in—to face it, confront it, and find our way through it. The elements we’ll use remind us of the many layers of the wilderness—and in these layers we find meaning and the courage to carry on. This worship art project invites members of all ages to create wilderness art together and includes contemplative liturgy with poetry so that our creative process is worshipful and deeply meaningful. And don’t worry if you aren’t “artistic”; anyone able to pour sand into a vase can take part! Childcare provided (though kids are welcome to take part), and we’ll end by noon.
RSVP to Annie, email@example.com, or sign-up in the Church Office. If you have any of the following to donate to the project, please let Annie know. It will be returned to you after Easter. Supplies needed: clear vases, sand, bare tree branches (not too big!), moss, stones that will fit into a vase, and moss.
