MISSIONS

Fair Trade Chocolate Sales: On Feb 12th, the Green Team will be selling Fair Trade chocolate bars for $5.00 each at the Green Team Cart. We support Fair Trade because he farmers are paid a fair wage and the chocolate is sustainably grown and harvested. Please consider giving a gift of Fair Trade chocolate to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Cash or check accepted. Proceeds are used to purchase food for the food banks we support.

Rescue Mission Meal Cookie and Cornbread Collection: The reservation book is in the front office to sign up for the Rescue Mission cookies and cornbread. Please bring your contributions to the church by the third Sunday. We are also in need of volunteers to help serve the meal. Please see Bill Patterson for information.

Hunger Relief: First Pres Hunger Relief will be collecting food at the 11:00 service next Sunday, February 19th. Food items and monetary donations may also be left at the church office during the week. Rising food prices mean that our church food bank budget buys less at the same time that the three food banks we support are seeing more people needing help. So your individual contributions are more important than ever.

The following items are especially needed: Peanut butter, Elbow macaroni, Boxed or bagged instant mashed potatoes, Canned tuna, Tuna helper, Boxed or bagged dry cereal, Family-size soup (any variety) If you are worshipping remotely, you can send monetary donations to the church at: First Presbyterian Church Attn: Financial Office—Hunger Relief for February 300 W. Wayne St, Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
