Lenten Series

Join us for this season of Lent as we explore toxic charity and when our good deeds to help someone actually hurt them.

Experience the power of poverty through simulation, thoughtful fellowship, and some of the most enlightened local experts including Fort Wayne’s 2019 Citizen of the year, Javier Mondragon; Donovan Coley of the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission; Paige Wilkins of Healthier Moms and Babies; and more, on related topics such as breaking the cycle of homelessness, toxic giving, and the staggering rise in the infant mortality rate. (Allen County is currently the highest in the state of Indiana)

Dive deep into Toxic Charities-When Helping Hurts, every Wednesday in March at First Presbyterian Church at 6pm. Join us in McKay Hall 30 minutes before each presentation for dinner for only $5 per person. Childcare is available as well.

In addition, about 20 volunteers play roles of resource providers and businesses in the simulated community.
